terrible mother locks baby in car

so here's jack locked in the car. yes, locked in the car. i had two babies to take home from the park (i was babysitting) and i put jack in the front, turned on the car, and shut the doors to put the other baby in the carseat. jack takes his cute little finger and pushes the auto lock. i freaked. LUCKILY i had turned on the AC so he was nice and comfortable. of course, my cell phone was in the car as well. LUCKILY my friend emma was with me and let me use her phone to call shawn (and she had her camera...). and LUCKILY shawn was on his way home for his lunch break, otherwise i think my mom adrenaline would've kicked in and i would've smashed the car window. so jack spent about 15 min. total in the car. while i tried not to panic, he had a great time. he loves cars.

manti pageant

okay, so shawn and i went with our best friend pals jordan and linsey to see the manti pageant last night. i had never been before. the temple was amazing, up on that crazy hill. the pageant...i fell asleep after a while. but it's a big enough deal that there were a bunch of anti's there doing their thing. whatever. here's a blurry pic of us with the temple and to the right is a pic in focus without the temple, so take your pick...(no pun intended...ha ha).

the haircut

...and they are GONE. shawn and i took the clippers to his head. it took an hour and a half because he was so wiggly. it took me a little bit to get used to it, but he looks so much more like his dad now, which we all know is not a bad thing indeed. i also chopped my hair off, pics will be forthcoming as soon as i put some make-up on.

oh, the irony...

so jack finds his old car seat stashed in his closet, the one he used to scream in for every and any car trip, and climbs right in. whatever. (look how big he is in that thing...he used to look like a drop in a bucket when he was so horribly forced to sit in it.)

the french household

we went to play with kate at char and spencer's and jack was 4 times her size. but she could walk so she definitely wins.

jack's favoritist toy is the remote and one day shawn thought it'd be funny to hide the remote from him.

we love friends!

this is ethan, one of jack's friends from the ward. at first, ethan was a little nervous, but pretty soon they were rolling over each other and grabbing each other's toys, just like little boys should.

first swim of the season

this was the first swim of the summer and jack's first real swim. it took him a while to warm up and feel comfortable but he loved his floatie. it has a little headrest and he lounged in it the whole hour we were there and let shawn and i drag him around.
someone needs a tan...we'll get there.
we love living right next to a pool! jack and i shall be there often.

piggy-back fiend

he loves piggy-backs! every time shawn or i are sitting on the ground, he crawls around to the back and climbs on. then we're expected to hop around the house and dump him on the bed. if it isn't done right, then the fury is unleashed.
