lovin' on grandma.
we had a great fourth! we woke jack up super early (it took forever to wake him up, he sleeps like a rock) and took him to see the balloons with my fam. he loved it. he pointed up and said "ba, ba" (ball). really isn't that what they are, a bunch of balls floating in the sky? my kid's a genius.
it was early so shawn and i still have sleepy eyes. and no, i did not shower for a 6 am appointment with the balloons.
i thought this was a cool shot that shawn took.

As I was looking at the pic of all of you I thought "Katie looks really cute" and then you proceed that to say that you had not showered. I wish I looked that good at 6 a.m. :) We miss you guys tons. Looks like you are having a fun summer. I could really use a game night with you guys right about now!
Oh forth of July, how we love you! Looks like fun and even though it was 6am, you still look great! Spencer and I did that in Idaho and I remember how early you have to wake up to see all the balloons ... it's pretty crazy. I'm too sure it was worth missing precious hours of sleep. Glad to see you enjoyed it though!
Camping with Kate...
She did a lot better than I'd planned and it would have been great but I didn't pack warm enough PJ's. She'd wake up at like 4am because she was too cold. So I brought her in my sleeping bag with me and she did fine. I didn't sleep that great after 4am but who does when your camping, right? Honestly, she was so wore out from each day that she was out by 8:00pm - no matter what. Good luck and just call if you have any other questions.
Cute pictures! We'll have to try taking Alexis up to the balloons next year, it looks like a lot of fun!
I love the balloons too! Why didn't you come and wake me up, I would have come. You and your family look so wonderful. You don't even need to take a shower at 6 am or ever for that matter! Love ya!
