this is one of the few, and i mean few, pictures of jack with his eyes open. usually, he squeezes his eyes closed and smiles because that's what he thinks "say cheese!" means. this time i told him to make a silly face and this is what i got. sheer craziness, hold back, jack.
we do a lot of swimming here in vegas and grandma gave jack this sweet swimming towel. it's awesome, i just stick it over his head and he's all wrapped up.
he's getting big, folks.

best buds. i am amazed at how good jack is with sam. he hasn't shown any jealousy or resentment, he just loves him. "hold sam-boy" is the first thing he says to me every morning. i'm so grateful.

Katie! first of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Just 'cause I haven't seen you in 15 years doesn't mean I've forgotten your bday! Your little guys are rugged! I can't wait to meet them soon. And I say soon because I've decided that since I'll be going to school in Flagstaff, AZ a Vegas trip to see my fave cousins is must. inexcusable if i dont! I hope you're well and having a great birthday!
LOVE THE PICTURES! We miss you guys. Really. Your boys are getting so big. I feel like it's been WAY more than three months since we last saw each other. Sam really is getting big! It never ceases to amaze me how much they grow and learn during their first few years of life.

I love the "new" power stand! Must be something about the number 4 because when I ask what time it is Kate always says "4 o'clock mom". I loved reading the things that Jack has said - they are so funny! Hope all is well.

if i had gotten your comment last night, i would have come down. the a/c is out of commission and the guy couldn't come until monday morning (today). i walked in from church and it was... 96 degrees! are you kidding me? almost everyone i knew was out of town, or at church. i seriously thought about going to walmart or costco and just sitting there. i finally just went to a friend of my dads and basically just set up camp there. it was miserable. why did we move to the heat again? anyway, your boys are adorable! jack is such a ham, and sam is huge. allie is still wearing 3-6 month onesies. we'll plan a trip down sometime soon. sorry for the novel...
