my amazing man

so yesterday was shawn's white coat ceremony. it's a big to-do where they receive their white coats and take the hippocratic/PA oath. it was very cool, although a little deceiving because it felt like a graduation ceremony and we're only just beginning. but i mentioned before that he rocked the first session and loved it all. i'm so proud of him, he worked SO hard. i'm incredibly grateful for a husband who is ambitious, works hard, and wants to take care of us. what an amazing blessing. and on we go with the second session...

shawn with his good buddy, aaron paxman. yes, there is a significant height difference, but they can still be friends.

I first thought this post was about me, judging by the title. Then I realized it was about Shawn. Then I thought that white coat was racist, then I saw the jacket Shawn was wearing. Then I thought, I don't think Shawn's a hypocrite, then I realized that it was an oath, not an attribute. Then I realized that I love Shawn...seriously, love him. And then I thought, well, I also really love Katie, Jack, and Sam...so then I realized that I just loved the whole Gibbs family. Then I was like, well, not just the Shawn Gibbs family, I mean, I love Randy and Cindy also. Then I was like, I may not remember his sister's names completely, but heck, I love them too. Then I was like, the Gibbs'...what a trip. Then I was like, I love trips. Then I remembered the trip I took to Vegas a few weeks ago where I visited Shawn and Katie and Jack and Sam, and I remember how much much I remembered loving them when I saw them in Vegas a few weeks ago. Then I was like, I need another trip. Then I was like, I wish I had a white jacket and could take a picture with Shawn like that Paxman guy. Then I was like, is that Paxman as in Jen Gilbert Paxman? Then I was like, I think it is, but I'm not sure. I know they are in Vegas also, but I'm not sure if that's him. Then I thought, I love Jen, she's great. She has cute kids also. Then I was like, I need to move to Vegas, people I love are in Vegas. Then I thought, oh wait, I kind of like gambling, I should stay away from Vegas. Then I was like, gambling is great. I have won and lost at it. Then I was thinking, well, the Gibbs' and Paxmans' are in Vegas, it must still be a cool place despite the gambling.

Basically, I miss and love you guys...and the Paxmans...and gambling.

The White Coat Ceremony is TOTALLY misleading. Really does feel like graduation only you have two more years. Don't worry, it will be over before you know it. Good luck guys! It's all worth it in the end!

Oh Katie,
I miss you guys so much! Thanks for the email the other day. I've been meaning to write you back...but you know how that goes! It looks like you're doing great, and your boys are SO SO cute. My Luke reminds me of your Jack a lot. His eyes and facial expressions often look like Jack, and I think of you. Even my husband will say--"Hey! That looked just like Jack Gibbs!" Oh I love you guys. If you ever want to come to Park City...you're welcome to stay with us!!!

Katie, so good to get your comment on my blog! I just wrote an email to Shawn's address the other day to get your address for christmas cards - that's funny. Our address is 5 Odyssey Lane, Franklin, MA 02038. Please give us your address, too; we really want to keep in touch. You and your family are wonderful!
